German Lager X is a highly sought-after yeast strain that White Labs occasionally brings out of their yeast vault. With origins in a famous Bavarian monastery, German Lager X can be used for making true-to-style traditional malty German Lagers, such as helles, Oktoberfests, bocks and dunkels. It creates a smooth, creamy and malty beer, with a low sulfur production during fermentation. A number of our customers have been waiting for White Labs to re-release this strain, as they have had excellent results with it when it has been available in the past. Their long wait is over, but German Lager X will not be around for long...Get this one while it lasts!
